"The Nothing Lamp" EP release

“The Nothing Lamp” – a new theatrical song cycle featuring soprano Jessica Fishenfeld and pianist Mila Henry with text by Mark Campbell – is a 2022 release by Crossover Records for purchase and streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more.  The piece is about five people who are connected across four decades by an old lamp that they come to own. The different characters are linked by their common ability to see beauty and possibility where you might not expect it, and to find transcendent moments in everyday life.

"the wound is the light is the place is" winner of ICC competition

“the wound is the light is the place is” won Second Prize in the Institute for Choral Creativity’s 2021 Composition Competition.  The piece will be performed in Kansas City, MO in May, 2022.

Publication by North Star Music

“February: Summer Memory” from “Daylight Saving” is being published by North Star Music LLC as part of their “Modern Music for New Singers: Twenty First Century American Art Songs” initiative.  It will be part of their volume for upper-college and graduate-student soprano voices, and will be available for download starting on August 1, 2021.  More information here.

"House of Legendary" awarded Opera America Repertoire Development Grant

“House of Legendary” (formerly “Legendary”) is one of the recipients of a 2020 Repertoire Development Grant from Opera America.  The grant will be used to assist The American Opera Project (AOP) and The Seagle Music Colony in further developmental work on the piece.  More information here.
