“February: Summer Memory” from “Daylight Saving” is being published by North Star Music LLC as part of their “Modern Music for New Singers: Twenty First Century American Art Songs” initiative. “House of Legendary” (formerly “Legendary”) is one of the recipients of a 2020 Repertoire Development Grant from Opera America. The grant will be used to assist The American Opera Project (AOP) and The Seagle Music Colony in further developmental work on the piece. More information here.
“Summoning” (2014) is a winner of the Greater Cleveland Flute Society‘s “Cleveland Composers Connection” call-for-scores. It will be performed in Cleveland in April, 2020.
Melisa Tien and I will be writing a new art song for Trudy Chan and Phillip Cheah of the Cheah-Chan Duo.
I am looking forward to participating in Novi Cantori’s New Editions in Westfield, MA and Springfield , MA this coming April. I’ll be working on a new choral piece for the forum this winter.
